Smaller size
For the same power rating it is smaller than an EI-lamination transformer and fits easily into tight enclosures.
Toroidal transformers 20–4000 VA
and autotransformers up to 5000 VA,
wound for your equipment.
A toroidal transformer does the same job as a conventional one, but it is more compact, has lower losses and radiates a weaker electromagnetic field. That is why manufacturers of power supplies, audio equipment and medical devices choose it.
For the same power rating it is smaller than an EI-lamination transformer and fits easily into tight enclosures.
A core of imported grade 3407 transformer steel gives lower losses and less heating in operation.
The winding covers the core evenly, so electromagnetic radiation is lower than with conventional designs.
The windings sit on the outside and cool better. The transformer is fixed with a single bolt.

Separate primary and secondary windings protect against electric shock. Mandatory for medical equipment.

Pick a standard power rating to see the approximate dimensions, weight, lead length and voltage drop under load at once. The values come from our price list.
S suffix: a version with a smaller diameter and greater height.
A 115–130 °C thermal fuse is fitted as standard.
Mounting kit for 100–1200 VA
For 300–3000 VA we recommend Soft Start or slow-blow fuses.

After more than a year of development and testing, we manufacture under licence the renowned toroidal output transformers for tube amplifiers designed by the Dutch specialist Menno van der Veen.
Every transformer follows the same path through our workshop, whether you order a single unit or a full series.
You send the power rating, voltages, currents and installation conditions. If anything is missing, we help you define it.
We design each transformer with RALE Engineering software and experience built up since 1990.
A core of imported 3407 transformer steel, with windings of TENVEX 200 and G2 enamelled copper wire.
We vacuum-impregnate the core with varnish so that the transformer does not hum.
We fit a 115–130 °C thermal fuse and keep the technical data for every unit in our archive.
A made-to-measure box, mounting kit and instructions. We ship anything from one unit to a full series, worldwide.
Toroidal transformers go into power supplies, control systems, lighting and any equipment where a small footprint and quiet operation matter.
State the power rating, primary and secondary voltages, currents and quantity. We will prepare a quote and a lead time.
